Philadelphia Flyers director of player development Riley Armstrong joined us for an interview! Before Armstrong joins us, Derek Settlemyre and Riley Cote talk about Nasty’s trip to Nashville and the issues he’s had since. Jumping over to some NHL talk Nasty and Riles discuss the Sabres and Devils start to the season, Tuesday night’s games, all of the goalie contract news that has happened recently with Swayman, Ullmark, and Shesterkin, and Jett Luchanko making the Flyers opening night roster. Riley Armstrong joined us for over an hour. Riley talks to us about meeting and working with Matvei Michkov, Jett Luchanko, and finding diamonds in the rough. Moving on they discuss Oliver Bonk, Army’s mom being a skating coach, Riley figure skating growing up, the importance of a skating coach, and teaching players to attack the middle of the ice. Finishing up, we talk about working in Lehigh Valley, working with Danny Briere, and his relationship with his brother Colby. Cote and Settlemyre finish the episode answering questions submitted by fans.
