Chicago-based King Marie is an artist who sees the bigger picture. As a DJ, event producer, creative director, singer, she's a polymath who can do it all while maintaining her clear artistic vision of organizing and building community through music. A well travelled DJ, she’s held residencies in NY and LA to bring the Midwest to both coasts. As a performing artist, her EP, “The Prelude”, is currently available on all streaming platforms. In this interview, King Marie explains how DJing fits into the bigger picture of her artistry, how her immigrant parents came to accept her creative path, and being an artist with a moral compass.
