4.19 The Theology of Obedience

Our Foundations Podcast

This is the foundation of the theology of obedience, both to God and the governing authorities. I use scripture as well as some extra biblical sources to lay out the Christian argument for why the State is not something Christians should be involved with, how the Adversary is connected, what it means to be light in a world of darkness, how to obey both God and the governing authorities, Christian Agorism, and much more. There is a big difference between submit and support, between God using an institution and desiring us to be involved with an institution, between not owing taxes and respect and illegally withholding taxes and unlovingly being disrespectful. Romans 13, "render unto Caesar", being in the world not of the world, and much more is discussed. While this is obviously a Christian take, the principles apply to secular agorism as well, with some redactions.
