Andrew Roberts up on building sites from a very young age in the families construction business.
He became a Chartered Management Account, Worked at senior level in a bank (Nationwide) and worked at a strategic level creating and implementing strategic change in the bank.
Was head hunted to a top 20 law firm (Shoosmiths) where he established the UK's largest conveyancing operation which was his brain child and was instrumental in setting up the UK's first bulk conveyancing as we know it. Whilst there he also was the driver and consultant to land registry to set up Land Registry online as we know it today.
Andrew has turned around failing businesses on verge of insolvency and through this learnt a lot about running a good business.
In 2000 Andrew set off on the lonely journey of entrepreneur establishing a number of successful trading businesses in different industries
A late starter almost accidental into the world of property when in 2005 he bought his first commercial property premises for the business having got fed up of paying rent.
From that first purchase Andrew's analytical skills led him to quickly work out that he made a better return on his time than he did in trading activities so began to make more acquisitions.
2010 Andrew successfully purchased a competitors trading business that was 5 times larger than his own from an administrator. Sold 18 months earlier for £5.6m now being marketed for a knock down £1m, Andrew negotiated a successful purchase for £12,400.
Andrews property business is primarily focused on commercial property as either buy to let or commercial to residential conversions. The converted properties are then let to numerous local councils where he holds contracts to house homeless.
Such is he passion and breadth and depth of practical and strategic knowledge on property, finance, law and planning that he now co-hosts the Baker Street Property Meet the UK's largest property meet with Ranjan Bhattacharya and teaches on the only accredited commercial property training program at Succeed in Property
