Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. I went down to Big Bang Studios in Rosebery to chat with director Mike Green, sound designer Peter Climpson and mixer Wayne Pashley, who I'd previously talked to in my episode about Mad Max. We chatted about Mike's debut feature, Outback, a psychological thriller set in the Australian desert, how Mike and Peter developed a style in the films soundtrack, and what Wayne was able to bring as a seasoned sound mixer.
