Memorial Day was created to remember and honor the service of soldiers in the military.

This episode features a recording from a 2013 visit with Johnny Boise, long-time friend of my maternal grandfather, Frank Davis. Johnny was anticipating his 100th birthday celebration. My mother and I drove to Corning, New York to enjoy the event.

Johnny was originally from New Castle, PA and relocated to Corning, NY where he stayed for the remainder of his life.

As conflicts continue around our world, Memorial Day is a time to spend with family, neighbors, and friends and be thankful for days of peace and prosperity.
