We discuss the economic measures that are being studied, and how these measures translate to voters. Macro measures do not have the same immediacy for voters as micro measures. There is a 'disposable income desert' among many voters, and people are using debt to get by. Unfortunately, there is a common economic stress in Europe, though the US is better off. We need economic democracy.
