In this episode, we discuss a study conducted by physicians in São Paulo, Brazil, titled Development of a Questionnaire and Screening Model for Lipedema, published in the Jornal Vascular Brasileiro in December 2020. The study details the creation of a highly accurate screening tool designed to predict a lipedema diagnosis, either through individual questions or the total score. With a 91% accuracy for the total score and up to 86% accuracy for individual questions, this tool is poised to assist medical providers worldwide, especially those uncertain about diagnosing lipedema.
