Joe Sikoryak has been a fan of Star Trek from the early days, and that includes being a part of some of the very first fan conventions in the franchise's history. Today, Joe is an illustrator who has written books and comics on his experiences from these times, and on this Trek Untold, he schools us with a history lesson on what these events were like.
Joe talks about cosplay before it was called that, what vendors sold, how the celebrities were and how the interactions differ today, his surprising encounters with William Shatner, and what it was like to be a fan of a canceled sci-fi show in its infancy before it grew into the monolith it is now.
