An unexpected conversation with a guy who is more than someone who works for GoDaddy.
In my debut episode of “Seriously BUD?,” I sit down with Marcus Burnette for a lively and engaging conversation. Even though it’s my first podcast, Marcus guides me through the discussion with such humor and ease that it feels like a natural flow.

We start by exploring Marcus’s background, beginning with his birth in Germany, his move to the U.S., and his upbringing in Florida. Marcus shares some captivating stories from his childhood, including the cultural adjustments he faced when transitioning from Germany to the U.S., the social challenges he encountered in elementary school, and how he eventually found his footing in middle school.

Our conversation then delves into Marcus’s academic journey. He reflects on his college experience studying digital media and graphic design, and we discuss his self-taught expertise in coding and web development, as well as his early career ventures. We also touch on his family life, including his high school sweetheart who became his wife and their two daughters. Marcus’s passion for photography, inspired by his father’s darkroom hobby, also comes up, and he shares his love for capturing both landscapes and portraits.

As the episode draws to a close, we share a lighthearted chat about our favorite TV shows and Marcus’s upcoming milestone 40th birthday. He reflects on the significance of this age and his optimistic outlook for the future. I wrap up the episode by thanking Marcus and teasing what’s to come in future episodes.
