Blessed Are The Pure in Heart?

Hi, I'm Beverley Joy of Simply Story Poetry. This poem is based on the sixth of The Beatitudes in Matthew chapter 5 verse 8 'Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.' This Beatitude has both a physical and spiritual meaning. On the day when Jesus taught these Beatitudes, He spoke of a future world where the pain and sorrow of this present world will no longer exist Revelation 21:4-5. But Jesus also spoke of an immediate quenching of spiritual hunger and thirst available through faith and trust in God Psalm 107:9. I love this Feature Image showing a broken heart full of gold shining rays of bright light out from the inside of the heart. I interpret this image as our human hearts which are not perfect or are broken from life's pain, but our hearts are full of God's rich love bursting out into our world, to our family and friends.
