My name is Stephen. I was born and raised in New York City and since 1986 I’ve been making a living as a professional sports bettor. Before I explain what I do, I believe it’s important to understand why I do it. Let’s look at gambling through the eyes of two legendary Las Vegas visionaries. In 1946 Jewish gangster Bugsy Siegel, with help from fellow mob boss Meyer Lansky built the 1st Las Vegas hotel, The Flamingo. I think it’s safe to say that given the growth of Las Vegas over the last 72 years that their plan was rock solid, their goals were accomplished and their vision was crystal clear. But why??

Well, I think you know why. Casinos, race books and sports books don’t beat players because they get lucky. They beat players because they have a slight mathematical edge. For example: If you bet $11 to win $10 on a sporting event the house edge is 4.54%.

No small challenge for the average bettor to overcome. To our credit, we knew this. To our credit, we knew we had to challenge the status quo. To our credit, we knew trying to handicap winners would end in misery and empty pockets. In order to overcome the house edge, in order to climb this mountain, we would have to view gambling through a similar lens as Lansky and Siegel had 40 years prior.

That being said, our goal was lofty but attainable. With hard work and clever investment strategies we were determined to offset and overcome the house edge. Our plan was solid and simple but required pretty much around the clock work detail. With belief and passion this was hardly an issue. Our discipline was driven by our arrogance of knowing what no one else knew and finally our motivation was to prove everyone wrong back home who said we would return with our tails tucked between our legs.

That was 32 years ago. We’ve been making a living sports betting for over 30 years. Would you like to know how?
