Freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose was one of the most influential leaders in India's struggle for independence from the British Raj in the early 20th century. He was a charismatic leader with a huge following in India, and also abroad. However, there are still many unanswered questions about his death. The most popular theory is that he died in a plane crash in Taiwan on 18 August 1945. But, there are other versions that suggest that he didn't die in the crash and was seen in various parts of India and even in Japan, Indonesia, and China. Many believe that he lived a quiet life for many years as Gumnami Baba in India.
