Hosted by Gemma Paterson, The Balvenie Global Ambassador. In A Day of Dark Barley, Gemma explore explore what roasted peanuts, the legend of the Green Lady, and a retirement poem have in common. In July of 1992 Robbie and Brian were working at the distillery when some unusual barley was delivered to this courtyard. It was dark barley – barley that had been over roasted – dark and brittle. In this episode, the infamous duo recount their years of friendship and night shifts at The Balvenie, and share what it means to play a part in the making of our whisky.
