After years of being in the business he decided to purchase an insurance agency. Then another. And now, he’s taken that experience to another venture. He is a pretty good entrepreneur.

What is his secret to making a business work? Being smart enough to know that he can’t do it all by himself. Ryan has built businesses with a straightforward gameplan, be smart enough to know what to learn, go learn it, and put it to good use. Another key element is to find people with skill sets that are different & better than his own and put those people to good use. Ryan knows when to stay in his lane and let the people that know their stuff do what they do best. When you have a complicated business that deals with insurance companies, sub-contractors, and the home or business owner you better have good people and systems to make things work. Ryan sets a solid standard for what will and will not work for him and his business.

Another lesson that you can learn from Rya is to find something you enjoy doing. Pursue a career or a business that you are drawn to and do it with curiosity & vigor. Always be learning. Ryan calls it “purposeful improvement”. Pursue your dreams and fill in the gaps with what you need to know to be a better version of yourself each and every day. Profound lesson to learn. A lesson that will change your perspective. At the end of the day, you want a career of dong something well and the feeling that comes form knowing you mad e difference.
