Had the pleasure of interviewing Steve Birdsall from Gaist in which we learn about how he has built a business from starting up on his own 15 years ago to one that now is not only reaching the UK market but is moving into international territories with the business that is in the road mapping industry.
He talks passionately about the importance of teamwork within the business, creating the culture that allows ownership that then enables risk taking and decision making that may not always turn out as planned but it’s the ability to learn and improve that drives the innovation within the business.
His advice to take the risk and the importance of tenacity and resilience is a lesson to anyone thinking of starting their own business or are in the early stages of building one are so true and worth noting.
