Journey to a Hearth within the Manor… or wherever calls to you! This hearth… holds your heart! What do you need to ignite and build your burning fire? What do you need to brew within the cauldron of your heart?
I found myself before the kitchen hearth within The House of Seven Gables in Salem, MA. I was dressed as a servant… kneeling before the empty hearth. Time was folded... within the 1700 period and 2010 time… when I had visited. I could see the tourist visitors standing within the room… yet I was also there alone… within my task of fire making.
I got twigs and branches from a firebox and made a unique pattern of the wood under the hanging cauldron… and lite it easily with a flint. Then, disappointedly… the journey ended… to be pondered and unraveled as it sees fit to share.
