Bernie supporters have claimed that Andrew Yang and Tulsi Gabbard have waffled on Medicare for All, and that only Bernie supports true Medicare for All. But does this claim hold up to scrutiny? We’ll be examining the three most common arguments I’ve seen, including: 1). Medicare for All is simply what every developed economy has, 2). A public option “just won’t work”, 3). Only a policy that exactly matches Bernie’s bill deserves to be called Medicare for All. These arguments are no good and we’ll be debunking them as succinctly as possible.
