Knowing your audience is one of the fundamental steps to delivering an effective talk or workshop. It’s one of the most critical pieces of really ANY communication.

In this episode, we speak with Gen Z expert Meghan Grace to share her findings that will help you better understand and resonate with Gen Z.

For anyone who engages with small or large groups, and especially anyone doing work with Generation Z, I think you’ll get a lot out of this episode.

Here's what we cover in the episode:

  • Who is Gen Z? Meghan provides an overview of the unique qualities and insights from her research
  • How Meghan uses gratitude to guide her speaking introductions
  • How to consistently create content, and structure your talks to reduce audience overwhelm
  • Dealing with the post-speaking “drain” and how to reset
  • In the first part of our conversation, you’ll hear more about the background of Meghan Grace and some of her favorite and most recent meaningful experiences. Then we take a dive into her research with Generation Z. Then we explore her work as a consultant, facilitator and speaker and the different tactics and skills she applies.

Meghan Grace

Meghan is an international speaker, author, podcast host, special projects manager, and consultant. She started researching Generation Z in 2013 and has since co-authored three books, and launched a podcast to help share the stories, insights, and experiences. Her work with Generation Z focuses on the views, values, and behaviors of today’s youth and young adults as they navigate the world, grow up, go to school, go to college, enter the workplace, and beyond.
