In this special episode, I chat with my partner Maarten about his experience and insights as the significant other of someone going through a major career transition.

I know so many women express feeling unsupported or doubted by their partners when they want to make a bold career shift. Or partners come at it very logically versus emotionally. Understandably, the prospect of losing financial stability can be scary for spouses too.

I’ve been SO fortunate to have a partner who believed in and stood by me every step of my winding career change journey. I wanted to share Maarten's perspective to shed light on how partners can provide that unconditional support when their loved one decides to take the leap towards more purposeful work.

We get honest about Maarten's initial reservations, how he came to fully embrace my transition, the flexibility required to make more time together, tuning into each other's needs, and the advice he has for others supporting a career changer.

There's so much wisdom in hearing the other side's experience when your dreams disrupt the status quo.

When you make a shift, your loved ones shift too. I hope this episode inspires you & your partner to navigate inevitable changes with more compassion, trust and teamwork.
