The Knicks recently signed Landry Shamet to the team in a surprising move. At the time, the league believed the deal was a standard NBA contract. However, Knicks PR recently announced that his deal was an exhibit 9 contract with NY, essentially an non-guaranteed deal. Due to this, NY still has that final roster spot remaining and access to the taxpayer mid level exception to sign another impactful player to this team.
