Our guest this Friday on @theliberatorspodcast is Paige Jones @rezel1908. She is the co-founder of The Cooperative @heybrowngirls.
Paige R. Jones is a native of Memphis, TN, and a graduate of White Station High School. She obtained her bachelor’s of science in biology with a minor in chemistry at Xavier University of Louisiana. While at Xavier, Paige served as a Girl Scout troop leader, which won program of the year in 2015, a chemistry tutor, and a liturgical dancer and choreographer. She also served as co-chair of Mobilization At Xavier, the campus community service program, for two years. She was initiated into the Epsilon Tau Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. in the fall of 2016.
She also received a service key at the end of her college career for her service to the community.
Paige is currently pursing her Medical Doctorate degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
Although Paige is a medical student, she still makes time to serve her community and school by giving health screenings to the general public, mentoring students applying to medical school, and working to increase inclusion in the medical field. Paige is currently a member of the Chi Eta Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and serves as assistant advisor of the Edith Irby Jones chapter of the Student National Medical Association.
Paige is the Co-Author of “The Brown Girls’ Guide to College” and “The Book Of Success and Scholarship (BOSS)” Workbook. Paige along with her other co-authors formed the CoOperative, LCC, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping minority men and women obtain the tools necessary to exceed in their professional careers.
