Following a few popular online singles in the previous years, St. Louis artist Smino has been able to establish an audience thanks to his slurred hometown accent and fresh beats made by Chicago producer, Monte Booker. In 2017, He dropped Blkswn, an album that not only had some speaker-worthy bangers, but managed to add a sense of humanity to a city still healing three years after a summer of trauma.
