This is part 1 of a 3 part series looking at the history of Bioweapons, one of the most destructive and diabolical WMDs and forms of warfare. In part 1 we will cover the history of theses weapons starting with a look at their development, use in conflicts over the years, moral implications which ultimately lead to the banning of Bioweapons in the 1970s. This also lead to the formation of the BWC (Biological Weapons Convention), which is a treaty signed by most but not all nations preventing the development, use and stockpiling of Bioweapons, how practical is the treaty in reality? The second part of the show will cover the history of Bioweapons looking at their use in the 1500s through to the 1800s.
