Good evening, weather watchers! This is your weather wizard coming to you with a chilly forecast for the Dallas area.
Hold onto your winter coats, folks, because we're looking at a serious cold snap hitting Texas! We've got a Cold Weather Advisory in effect, so let's break down what Mother Nature has in store for us.
Tonight, we're talking bone-chilling temperatures dropping down to a frosty 22 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect some gusty north northwest winds blowing around 15 miles per hour, with gusts reaching up to 25 miles per hour. It's going to feel like you're in a winter wind tunnel!
Monday brings us a sunny day, but don't let that fool you. The high will only crawl up to about 40 degrees Fahrenheit, with wind chill making it feel like a frigid 10 to 20 degrees. Those north northwest winds will continue to remind you that winter is definitely here.
As we move into midweek, we've got a slight chance of some snow showers brewing. Wednesday night might surprise you with a 20 percent chance of snowflakes dancing from the sky. Thursday looks like it could be a messy mix of rain and snow, with a 50 percent chance of precipitation.
By the weekend, we'll see a bit of a warmup, with temperatures climbing to a more bearable 47 degrees Fahrenheit on Saturday and 48 on Sunday. Think of it as nature's little winter gift!
