The concept of time as a continuum is fundamental in physics and philosophy. spacetime, known as gravitational waves. In quantum mechanics, time is treated as an operator, and there is ongoing exploration of the nature of time at the quantum level. Some theories propose that time may emerge from more fundamental aspects of quantum physics.

From a philosophical perspective, the nature of time has been a subject of contemplation for centuries. Philosophers have debated whether time is an objective reality or a subjective experience, whether it has a direction or is reversible, and how it relates to causality.
