Lunch Accounts and Child Nutrition Updates

Child Nutrition has been getting many questions about lunch account refunds. They will send out information in May about lunch accounts and refunds. Child Nutrition will set a few days in May for parents to call in to request a refund. Also, the money in the student’s lunch account will carry over to next school year. If you have any questions, please contact Megieline Benedicto.

Also, school lunches will be distributed on Wednesday, April 22nd. Below are the times and locations of the distribution.

10:00-1:00PM @ Junior High (please follow signs)

10:00-11:00AM @ Ahtanum Elementary

11:15-11:45AM @ Tampico Church

10:00-11:00AM @ Mountainview Elementary

Child must be present to receive a meal. Each Child will receive a breakfast and lunch for 5 days.

Would you like to purchase a yearbook? They are still available.

We are still publishing a yearbook this year, but it will likely not be available until the Fall for pickup. The Yearbooks are $30 each and can be purchased online. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Liebrecht.

Block Party BINGO is the WVSD Activity this Week--A community-wide game to build connections and get families outside!

WV Families and Businesses are invited to JOIN our Block Party BINGO activity the week of April 20th. It is FREE, easy and fun.

Two ways to participate - we hope you will do both!

1. You can make this your ART PROJECT for the next few days! The art could be lettering these words or doing posters showing what the words mean to you. Feel free to do digital art if you can print at your house or go old-school with markers and crayons. Make it fun and make it work for you! Don’t feel pressure to do all of the words; it will be more fun if we have to “hunt” for some words on our adventures. DISPLAY YOUR ART starting April 20, but you can add to it all week long.
   
2. Starting on April 22,, when your family is going for walks, bike rides or those trips to the store, take the BINGO card with you (available on social media and to students via email and Google Classroom) and look for the words you need to get a BINGO. It will be fun to see how all the creative minds of WV give us BINGO art to collect! Make sure you plan to celebrate BINGOS in your house; be creative with those prizes, too.
   

These words will be on the BINGO sheet.

You are encouraged to do one “word” per paper/poster and display them so they are visible to those walking or riding by. Feel free to make a few encouraging or inspiring posters as well - we all need it these days! We are so excited to see your creativity...
