The Kowalski v. Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital trial, aka the 'Take Care of Maya' case, wrapped up one year ago, with a whopping $261 million verdict, in favor of the Kowalski family.
Imagine that you were one of the members of that trial's jury. Imagine that you had observed the testimony of nearly a hundred witnesses, over the course of those seven weeks of trial.
Then, imagine how you'd feel, if, once you finally settled in to watch the Netflix documentary, you discovered a very different side to the family's story. Imagine you made you made the decision to start going through the various filings in the court docket, only to discover a slew of information that didn't quite match up with what had been presented in court. Imagine how you'd feel if, once the appeal was filed, and the media began reporting on that appeal, you began to hear claims that you, and your fellow jurors, had been duped.
Considering all of the personal sacrifices all of you made, to serve for such a long time, perhaps you might be feeling uneasy, and find yourself longing for the truth. Imagine, getting together with some of the other jurors, on the anniversary of your verdict, and making the decision to get to the bottom of it all.
We'll call ourselves Jury Club, and me, 'This Mom', --I'll host. This is your invitation to our Saturday brunch meet-up. We're treating this like a true crime case, and are going to sleuth our way through, until we get to the bottom of it all.
