Having just finished the Lord of the Rings and now looking ahead to the Hobbit, we thought this would be a good time to tackle the concept of “canon,” particularly within Tolkien and other fandom spaces. Joined by Chris and Carlos of the Swolhirrim, we discuss canon, or "the official storylines and backstories invented by the creators of television shows, movies, and books," and how we approach “canon” in Tolkien’s legendarium.
