At VCA, we’re caring for the future of veterinary medicine. One important way to stay connected with that future is to hear from students working to become future veterinary professionals. On this episode, Dr. Kerl welcomes veterinary medicine student Ashley Lavender. Ashley’s interest in veterinary medicine was sparked at a young age through her parents, Dr. Patti Lavender and Dr. Todd Lavender, president, VCA Animal Hospitals. Ashley immersed herself in the world of animals while growing up, through volunteering with rescue groups and working at veterinary clinics. She has gained valuable experience at various small animal general practices as well as a zoological medicine department. Through these experiences, her interest and dedication to the veterinary field have grown.
