Our ACE Program for all ninth graders will be an in-school program Sept. 28-30. All ninth graders must submit their Educare participation forms ASAP.

The form is good for the year and also serves as a registration form for any of our afterschool, Educare programs including conditioning, tutoring, and several performing groups. Students can complete the form during Advisory online or by filling out a hard-copy form.

Senior photos are scheduled for October 5 at Legacy and the Senior Sunrise Event, just for Legacy VAPA Class of 2022, will be at Legacy at dawn on 10/16/21. Please see our website and Class of 2022 Schoology Group for more information.

Please note students must be in class by 8:30 am every day. We are still having a number of students arrive late and they are missing the first part of Period 1.

There have been several questions regarding the COVID19 vaccination deadlines for students and next steps. The South Gate Community of Schools will have a virtual Town Hall on Thursday at 5 pm on Zoom (Code: 868 7318 9735) and we will have Coffee with the Principal at 10 am on Zoom this Wednesday (Code: 840 0238 4385) to review the dates and information.

Please welcome our newest faculty members to Legacy VAPA who started this week, Ms. Ly, our 2nd art teacher, and Ms. Sun, our new math teacher. Please give them a warm VAPA welcome when you see them!

Looking forward, we are thrilled to bring back live, in-person performances VAPA, following all COVID safety protocols including mask-wearing. Our Latino Heritage Concert is Oct. 14, Frozen the Musical will be Nov. 18-20, and Winterfest will be on Dec. 3 for Music and Dec. 10 for Dance. Tickets will be sold online at www.vapalegacy.net with a limited number of cash sales out of the Student Store the day of the event, excluding Saturdays.
