If getting your kids to do chores around the house has been difficult, it might be because they have this little-known personality trait. Making a simple shift might be all you need to transform chore time in your home from one of nagging, yelling, and meltdowns to one of cooperation and teamwork.

Do you struggle to get your kids and family on board with doing chores around the house?

My guest on the Wannabe Clutter Free podcast this week is here to help.

I spoke with Adrienne Bishop, a life coach for highly sensitive parents with highly sensitive children, about how children are motivated and why their personality can hold the key to how they can be successful with chores.

So much of this conversation hit home and I learned way more than just tips for getting your family to do more chores.

In addition to being a life coach, Adrienne is also a certified positive discipline parent educator specializing in helping highly sensitive moms manage overwhelm and anxiety and learn how to let go, feel calm and confident and be more effective in their parenting.

She helps both parents and children understand and regulate their nervous systems, use somatic tools, hypnosis, and tapping, while enabling parents to change their perception of what's happening with their kids. She has a Facebook group called Calm, Confident Parenting where people can learn more about her work.

This episode of the Wannabe Clutter Free podcast will help you discover:

  • Two little-known personality types that might unlock your understanding of your child’s behaviors
  • How positive discipline principles can help with delegating chores
  • Why family meetings are important
  • What a family meeting is and isn’t
  • Tips for helping your children grow into their full potential
