Good morning, afternoon, or evening, folks! Welcome to your favorite weather update brought to you by the National Weather Service. Today, we're diving into the forecast for Baltimore, Maryland.
So, picture this – today is going to be a scorcher with scattered showers and thunderstorms rolling in after 2 pm. You can expect a high near 101 degrees, but hold on to your hats because it will feel like a toasty 112 when you factor in the heat index. The wind will start calm and then shift to the west at around 5 to 7 miles per hour.
As we move into tonight, those scattered showers and thunderstorms will linger, mostly before 8 pm. The sky will clear up a bit, bringing a low around 80. The south wind will be hanging around at about 5 mph, eventually calming down as the evening progresses.
Looking ahead to Tuesday, there's a slight chance of more showers and thunderstorms after 2 pm. It's going to be sunny and hot again, with a high near 102. Heat index values can soar up to 109. So, be sure to stay hydrated and find some shade. The wind will pick up a bit from the calm morning, becoming southwest at 5 to 9 mph.
