Good morning, Baltimore! Weather Wizard here with your New Year's Eve forecast that's more unpredictable than your midnight party plans.
Today, we're looking at a wet and wild ride. Expect showers and possibly a thunderstorm rolling in after 4 pm, with temperatures climbing to a mild 58 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds will be playing musical chairs, starting light and variable before settling into a southeast breeze up to 10 miles per hour. We've got an 80 percent chance of rain, so keep those umbrellas handy!
Tonight, the precipitation party continues with showers and potential thunderstorms before 10 pm, then tapering off to a slight chance of rain. Temperatures will cool down to around 45 degrees Fahrenheit.
New Year's Day brings a welcome change - mostly sunny skies with a high near 51 degrees Fahrenheit. But hold onto your party hats, because it's going to be breezy! Winds will be whipping up to 23 miles per hour in the afternoon, with gusts potentially reaching 40 miles per hour.
The rest of the week looks like a rollercoaster of winter weather. We're talking mostly clear nights, sunny days, and temperatures dancing between the mid-20s and low 40s. As we roll into the weekend, there's even a chance of snow on Sunday night and Monday.
