I know I say it every week but it really is a jam-packed episode of the What the Flick?! Podcast. Christmas movies, awards contenders, cheesy Netflix flicks — we’ve got ’em all. Alonso, Matt and I review the Scottish rom-com-zom musical “Anna and the Apocalypse”; Andy Serkis’ performance-capture take on “The Jungle Book,” “Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle”; the exorcism thriller “The Possession of Hannah Grace” and the Japanese anime time-travel adventure “Mirai.” We also play catch-up with the latest from the Coen Brothers, the star-studded Western anthology “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs,” and the feel-good Netflix holiday comedies “The Christmas Chronicles” and “The Princess Switch.” And Alonso and Matt sing the praises of the musical documentary “Bathtubs Over Broadway.” Phew!
