Vivian Huang (2011-14) is an Associate Strategy Director at Media.Monks, managing brand and media strategies, with emphasis on end-to-end organic and paid social, digital marketing, and influencer marketing. She explains what it means to be the child of immigrants who forged her own identity in a creative field and how that can inspire other AAPI professionals to pursue their dreams as well.
Vivian provides a lot of practical advice for students on building their own brand on social media right now, a cheat sheet for what she looks for when hiring entry-level jobs, what it means to build a brand's relationship with the public, and how fun it was to take a new platform like Threads and create a different "voice" for brands.
