The Way of Love for Kids is a walk through a thoughtful set of practices designed to draw each of us closer to the heart of God. Over twelve episodes we will explore ways to connect with God and each other. Some of these practices may be familiar, while others may invite you toward a new way of wondering about God and this Way of Love.

Today KariAnn chats it up with brothers Grant and Court all about our first practice Turn. We visit about getting lost, the prodigal son, We invite you to fasten your seat belts (if you are in the car - parents drive the speed limit) and/or settle in for a few minutes of wondering and wandering with us on the Way of Love for Kids.

Questions from The Way of Love for Kids Episode #3: Have you ever been lost? How did it feel to be lost? How did you find your way back? Can you think of a story in the bible where someone had to say they were sorry? Do you think it's easy to ask for forgiveness? How does it feel when someone makes the decision to cheat? If you mess up (even if it's on purpose) how do you want other people to respond to you? What happens if the person who has done the wrong thing, never asks for forgiveness? If we don't forgive someone who has done something to hurt me, what does holding on to that unforgiveness do to me? What does my holding on to unforgiveness do to them? Can we learn to forgive others whether they ask for forgiveness or not? What is one step you can take this week to turn toward the Way of Love?

Additional Questions for wondering: What do you think it means to turn from sin and hate? Or to turn from fear?

Challenge/Question(s)/Practice: Little changes can make a huge difference over time. Let’s try a small practice this week. Can you think of something that you did this week that bothers you that you did? When you remember it this week, ask God to forgive you and then learn to forgive yourself. Is there someone you can forgive? Turning away from fear and anger and toward the Way of Love?
