The narrative is that the Hunt’s were coming to take over the Silver market, so of course they are responsible for the price collapse. Not these institutions who changed trading rules or stopped trading altogether. I read that gold was starting to drop too, so investors were selling and taking profits in Silver. No matter what the ticker is, if there is FUD or bad news, you are going to get massive selling and the price will tank.
