What actions can help us reset the ecological clock and restore balance to our fragile ecosystem? Drawing inspiration from indigenous cultures, this podcast emphasizes the profound connection between humanity and nature, emphasizing the importance of reciprocity and nurturing the land. "Rewilding the Future" is a captivating exploration of how we, as stewards of the Earth, can embark on a path towards a healthier and more harmonious coexistence with our environment.
Bio:
Jason has been bewitched by the green-bloods and Tall Standing Ones since he can remember. Over the decades they have taught him wisdoms that Indigenous people still carry. His life has led him on a crooked path, often grasping at the shiny bauble mirages of the dominant culture, but always returning back to the wilds for healing and sanity. The dialogues of decolonization and re-Indigenization now offer him a framework that is helping make sense of the crazy, guiding him home to a place-based embodied center he lost way back in his deeply domesticated English childhood. He currently has his own land stewardship business in California, working with the Tribes to bring good Native fire back into a landscape that is suffering a catastrophic fire crisis caused by colonial fire suppression.
