Manon is a crazy scary witch, but it turns out she has carved out a tiny soft spot for her BB wyvern, Abraxos. Manon makes some special modifications ensuring he will be well equipped to lead and fight, while the rest of the witches prepare themselves for the upcoming war games. Back in Rifthold, Chaol and Aedion discuss the details regarding the day magic disappeared, while Dorian gives Sorscha a smooch for figuring out a way to stifle his magic. Over in Mistward, Celaena and Rowan investigate another dead body, and she recalls how the smell of the body was distinctly similar to the odor she detected at the barrows and the night her parents died.
