Thank you for calling GIH where we instigate growth one call at a time where we utilize antiquated technology to deliver 3-minute leadership lessons every week day! This is message #168 and I am Aaron Havens.
We are all CEO’s.
We are the final authority, the chief, of some decision or decisions today.
Some of us are CEO’s by title and vocation. ALL of us are CEO’s by life.
Where in our life would the universe stand still, things would get left undone, movement would stop if we abdicated our privilege of make a decision? Maybe today, take a mental note of how many decisions are in absolute need of action from us. So, recognize it or not… we are all CEO’s, chiefs, decision makers, doers. Some of us recognize that, some of us are comfortable with that title and responsibility, while others don’t view ourselves as such. How many decisions will stop with you today? Yep, walk in that!
And guess what? Some of the decisions you make today will be spot on the correct choice, while others… not so much. It’s the indecision that is the worst choice of all. Even if consciously you make a decision to wait, then good. Running away from, or ignoring making a decision is playing small. What a privilege to get some things right and get some things wrong. And as Mark Twain has said “Good decisions come from experience, and experience comes from bad decisions.” Here’s to you and I gaining experience and honing in our decision making skills. We are getting to be better and better CEO’s with each passing day!
Being stuck is paralyzing. Crippling. If this is you today, I feel you. We’ve all been there. Not knowing what to do. In my short years on earth I’ve learned one of the best things to do when I don’t know what to do is to… you ready for it… go for a walk! That’s right. Clarity usually finds me on the path. Something magical seems to happen when I put my body in motion to ponder a decision. Is this true for you? Whatever tactic you need to take to conquer that decision today… GO FOR IT! You’ve got this. The world will be better because you walked in your title of CEO!
