What It Really Means To Hear God Speak

Have you ever had a friend or pastor say “God told me…” or “I heard Holy Spirit say…” and wondered what they actually meant by that? I know I have! I remember being a teenager and wanting that same clarity and conviction, especially when it came to big decisions. I was (and still am) so scared of messing things up. Now I’m a mom and I depend on Holy Spirit’s voice to guide me through every moment of my day and often find myself saying “I really don’t know what to do right how” and pausing for His response.

I thought it might be helpful to explain what listening and responding to God actually looks like in my life. I’m no expert on this, but I’ve definitely had to depend on a voice beyond my own many times for small and big decisions, and through walking in relationship with Holy Spirit for a few years now I’m excited to share what I’ve learned.
