If you're after a success mindset, use accountability metrics to take you to the next level and the next level after that. With a success mindset, we look to where we want to be in the years and decades ahead. Without this tool, those visions seem distant. They're too far into the future. We can lose our way, much as we would lose our way if we were in the middle of the ocean and trying to make it to shore. One day we'd go in one direction, only to find that we're going in a different direction the next day. An accountability metric becomes our compass, keeping us going in the right direction at all times. I relied on accountability metrics to ensure I made progress during each of the 9,500 days that I served in prison.
