Embracing Fear in Public Speaking (Jon Schumacher)
Manage episode 424582959 series 3572849
This episode digs into the fear of public speaking with guest Jon Schumacher. Drawing from his marketing background, he emphasizes authenticity and intentional practice, reveals tactics to master anxiety and truly connect with audiences, and reveals how imperfections can elevate performance.
In each episode of Neuroscience of Coaching, host Dr. Irena O’Brien explains the science-based insights behind a particular concept and interviews a coach to discuss how these apply in the real world. Just as she does in her professional programs, Irena “un-complicates” neuroscience and teaches practical, evidence-based tools and strategies that listeners can use in their coaching practices.
“I personally think you can’t just eliminate fear. I’ve never been able to just eliminate fear… I still get nervous a little bit before a big presentation.” — Jon Schumacher
