This episode is intended to serve as a resource for how to "chase rain" and prepare for a big storm from a paddler's perspective. I go over how to read hydrographs, make bucket lists, and determine a safe time to go paddling.
I recorded this episode just after Hurricane Helene hit my area. At that point I honestly had no idea of the damage and what it turned out to be was truly incomprehensible. My home is okay, but so many folks' are not. This episode is not specifically about paddling in hurricanes or post-hurricanes. I was so unaware of the larger scale impact for the area at the time of recording.
