If you're planning to improve your baby's or toddler's sleep and you don't know which solutions to use, this is a great episode to watch! It's important to learn as much as you can about your child's needs and well-being, as you plan your child's sleep journey. We're introducing a new podcast series about the problems with cry-it-out, Ferber (timed checks), and traditional sleep training practices that follow stringent rules, leave babies to cry on their own, and go against parental instincts. We want to educate parents and help them make the best parenting decisions.

These methods teach parents to Ignore their children's cries (no matter the type of cry), hold back comfort, and force little ones to become independent, whether or not they are ready for it. Parents often set aside their connection with their children while using these methods. These methods can cause lasting consequences for many babies and toddlers. We'd like to hear what the experts say about these issues and other concerns that they might have, as well as discuss positive, supportive ways to improve sleep.

This episode features Dr. Laura Gainche, PhD, holistic sleep coach, and sleep scientist. In her sleep coaching work, she focuses on building connections, relying on science, and meeting the unique needs of children. Learn about her concerns and wishes for children as we discuss science, parenting, child development and more!
