Toho's "A" Team. Check. Two bonafide stars of film and television. Check. Trampolines. Super check. On paper, everything looks (blood) rock solid for 1969's US-Japan co-production of LATITUDE ZERO - but, it was definitely a paper tiger (errr...gryphon?)...because it was one of the studio's biggest flops. Our YHS on Monster Island hosts, "The Tattooed Titan of Tokusatsu" Jacob Walsh and "The Mayor of Toku Toy Town" Jay Key, share their thoughts on this unique entry from Toho's cinematic roster - and why it may not be remembered in the same manner as other tokusatsu films. Everything from Joseph Cotten's multiple costume changes to "The Joker" and his "Batmen" to the (in)famous gryphon kaiju that is, well, it's something - nothing is off limits for our duo of daikiaju devotees.

But wait! That's not all! The tandem also discusses a ton of toy news from Mondo and Max Toy Co. (among others), their own weekly pick-ups which include some great Godzilland finds and Jay's return to X-Plus, and Jake's recent viewing of The Black Demon (2023).
