Vårt sista stopp på Irlandsresan blir Ryder Cup-banan K Club, beläget en halvtimmes bilfärd från Dublins flygplats. Här spelades den första Ryder Cup-matchen någonsin på irländsk mark och det är här vi träffar banchefen Gerry Byrne.
Gerry berättar bland annat om hur det var att jobba med banarkitekten och golfikonen Arnold Palmer, men också om ett väldigt speciellt Ryder Cup och de emotionella historierna bakom Europas seger.
Gerry är nämligen god vän med huvudpersonen själv, Darren Clarke, vars hustru Heather tragiskt gick bort i cancer bara veckor före den prestigefulla matchen.
Och så pratar vi lite klubbanda och vad som behövs för att golfen ska växa bland yngre generationer.

Our last stop of the Ireland trips is the Ryder Cup course The K Club, situated 30 minutes from Dublin Airport. This was the venue of the first ever Ryder Cup match played in Ireland and this is where we meet the resort superintendent Gerry Byrne.
Among other things Gerry tells us about what it was like working together with the course architect and golf icon Arnold Palmer, but also about a very special Ryder Cup and the emotional stories behind Europe´s win.
Gerry is good friends with the main character himself, Darren Clarke, who's wife Heather tragically died in cancer just weeks prior to the prestigious math.
We also talk about the membership at The K Club and what is needed to make golf grow among younger generations.
