Molly Hashimotto just released her new art book, Birds of the West. Her different styles are throughout the book and show off her passion to try new media of art.

She describes the difference between her etchings and her block print. Using block print with different colors brings out some amazing art.

Sometimes she draws from life, but often Molly will use one of her three cameras to get some ideas. Even with pictures she tends to draw out or sketch before painting.

One of my favorite parts of this book was her pictures of the habitats and she gave credit where credit was due and said the publisher came up with that idea.

Molly Hashimotto has an easy to navigate website with links to her books and has prints for sale on there. I bought one of her prints to put up in my house!
