On the latest episode of On Psych, Dr. Jonathan Douglas is in conversation with Dr. Joseph Mirabella.
Dr. Joseph Mirabella has been Chief Psychologist at the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) since 2018. Registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, he has worked at the board as a school psychologist since 2010. At the board, he was a member of the Newcomer Mental Health Team, supporting schools addressing the needs of Syrian Newcomers, and other students, affected by trauma. He was also involved in addressing learning and behaviour needs of high-risk students, and supporting their teachers and families. Dr. Mirabella received his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in Psychology (Brain and Behaviour). Before working in schools, he was a Research Fellow at The Hospital for Sick Children, where he worked with a team investigating child visual brain development.
